I’ve joined the fabulous Morgana at Coffee Eat Sleep to immerse myself in her Little Loves round-up. It’s a weekly chance to remember the little things you’ve loved that join up your week. Anyone can join in, whether that’s posting your own blog with the headings or tagging your Instagram images with #LittleLoves. Here are mine:

This week we read ‘Harris finds his feet’ which is story-telling at its very best and describes how a youngster discovers his independence. It is carefully and lovingly illustrated by the award-winning Catherine Rayner. As our boy is called Harris too, it was gifted to us by his grandad when he was born and signed by Catherine herself so it’s a keep-safe book too. Not actually sure who loves this more, me or Harris.

Harris was a very small hare with very big feet.
“Why do I have such enormous feet, Grandad?” Harris sighed.

Grandad shows Harris how to hop high into the sky, to climb to the tops of the mountains, and to run very fast. Harris not only learns about the world around him but also the importance of finding his own feet…

Anyone else catch the new ‘Big Little Lies’ series on Sky Atlantic? It’s a great cast starring Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman and an easy watch weaving a dark comedic tale of murder and mischief in an American beachfront town. Everything is beautiful; the mums, the dads, the children, their houses and of course the town they all live in but there’s trouble brewing and the producers drip-feed the story line in a really clever way. It totally gives you that US drama fix but seems like it’s tailored to the 30s and 40s audience so no ‘tutting’ from me on inappropriate content. It’s all relatable.

I won’t say anymore, looking forward to the next episode.

My new-found sound isn’t a new track, nor the birds tweeting because we were given a glimpse of summer this week. Nope, it’s my son’s infectious giggle. I’ve not heard his belly laugh lots if I’m honest but my crazy one year old has decided that crawling and cruising around the house and being chased by an adult making lion noises is absolutely hilarious. While this may get a little tedious if it’s indeed necessary ten times a day, it’s my favourite sound EVER!

For those looking for a new artist, I am loving Dua Lipa at the moment. She’s one of those cool singer/writer/models that everyone seems to want to collaborate with. Having been a fan of her single ‘Be the One’ and a few of her eps I’m really looking forward to her self-titled debut album release due out in June this year.

I’m not going to pretend that we are always as energetic and proactive but in two of Harris’ weekend nap times, we managed to decorate our downstairs loo. Not everyone would herald the same enthusiasm about giving this space a fresh look but I fell in love with Little Greene Paint Company’s Hampstead wallpaper a while back and needed it in my life. Our guests can now ‘pay a visit’ to a striking blue room which is the perfect blend of contemporary and old Georgian style. The paint colour is also from Little Greene Paint company and is called Woad (251).

During the working week it’s all heels, dresses and smart coats so it gives me immense pleasure to kick-back and don the Bretton stripes, jeans and wellies at the weekend. My matching Joules combo of the coast waterproof jacket and field wellies are getting a lot of wear as we step into Spring – channelling some brighter vibes!  The jacket hugs my growing bump nicely too.

And lastly..

My previous blog titled where have you gone? has reached so many people and even inspired a few friends to send me pictures of their own ‘easy wins’ plan. I’m so pleased that I’ve helped people make their own lives that bit easier, just by setting some simple goals.
